Jackson County was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Berea Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Generals, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jackson County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Berea, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9.
