Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Canton walked away with it. They breezed past the Lafayette Commodores to the tune of 68-33 on Friday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Shamira Morton was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 34 points and 14 boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Canton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Journee Brown, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Canton was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Canton's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points over those games. As for Lafayette, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-14.

As of now, neither Canton nor Lafayette have any future games scheduled.
