Clovis scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Clovis North, 38-33. At the time, the Broncos were ranked 13th in the state, while the Cougars were 31st.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Clovis North, who took down 13th ranked Clovis North, 38-33. Jake Gatewood threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns and ran for eight yards in the win.
Thanks to the talents of Tyler Fry and Billy East Buchanan has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Fry leads the league in passing with 1565 yards, while East has rushed for 570 yards this season. Clovis' Logan Poisall leads the league in receiving yards with 451 on 39 catches.
A big matchup in Tri-River this week will be when the Bears take on Cory Hall's team. Buchanan is in fourth place, while the Broncos are in first place.
Rich Hammond's team's Adrian Salas rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Clovis North last week. Salas ran for 73 yards on the play and finished with 172 on the day as his team beat the Broncos.
