Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Phillipsburg). They walked away with a 67-55 win over the Smith Center Redmen on Friday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 47-41 victory the Redmen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Smith Center lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mason Enochs, who posted 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Enochs has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Daveyon Orr was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points.

Phillipsburg moved to 6-10 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Smith Center, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phillipsburg will face off against Hill City on Tuesday. Smith Center has already played their next contest (against Hoxie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
