LKY waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rock Creek Academy Lions an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Saints have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

LKY let Warren Scyphers and Marshall McCartney run wild. Scyphers went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while McCartney went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Scyphers has posted since back in March. Logan Burrer was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

LKY always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rock Creek Academy only posted an OBP of .316.

LKY's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Rock Creek Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LKY will head out to take on Fairdale at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Rock Creek Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Henryville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
