Last Tuesday, BASIS - Scottsdale lost to Premier Prep- PHHoenix on the road by a decisive 72-56 margin. BASIS - Scottsdale has not had much luck with Premier Prep- PHHoenix recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite their loss, BASIS - Scottsdale saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Nithish Prakash, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Prakash has scored all season. Blake Tropper was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Even though they lost, BASIS - Scottsdale were working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Glenview College Prep came up short against South Pointe on Thursday and fell 66-58.
BASIS - Scottsdale's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Glenview College Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
