Cross County fell to Harrisburg 6-12 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Cross County narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Harrisburg 22-20. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Harrisburg's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Jett Jackson, who picked up 81 yards on the ground and threw 3 TDs. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse Enellio Mcginnis, who racked up 10 tackles.
The win got Cross County back to even at 1-1. The defeat started Harrisburg out at 0-1 for the season.
Cross County hope to keep the momentum going despite some extra time before their next game against Earle at 7:00 PM in two weeks. As for Harrisburg, they will face off against Cedar Ridge.
