The Collegium Charter Cougar suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 77-49 defeat at the hands of Delaware County Christian. While losing is never fun, Collegium Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 579th, while Delaware County Christian is ranked 134th).
Khamai Orange was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with six rebounds for Delaware County Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Orange has scored all season. Beau Lyren was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Collegium Charter has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Delaware County Christian, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Collegium Charter will head out on the road to challenge Plumstead Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Delaware County Christian, Delaware County Christian and Renaissance Academy will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
