The Sidwell Friends Quakers came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Flint Hill with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sidwell Friends also won the last time the pair played on January 3rd.
Sidwell Friends' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Acaden Lewis led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Lewis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Rougier-roane, who scored 12 points.
Sidwell Friends pushed their record up to 16-4 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Flint Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Sidwell Friends will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Flint Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
