It was a good run, but the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 69-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Roncalli. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mary Mason, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mason has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Berzai, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Roncalli found their leader in underclassman Elliot Leffler, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Jasmine Horsman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Roncalli, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin County at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Roncalli, they will head out on the road to take on Columbus North at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
