The team also got some help courtesy of  Emma Young, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
 Dongola now  has a losing record at 1-2. As for Shawnee, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-1.
 Dongola will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Elverado at 4:30  p.m. As for Shawnee, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Meridian at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meridian is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.2  runs per game this season.
