Nashua has been on the road for eight straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Dodson Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Nashua was beaten by Lustre Christian 70-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nashua has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Dodson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 73-64 to Non Varsity Opponent. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite their defeat, Dodson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Lance KillEagle, who scored 24 points, was perhaps the best of all. That's the first time this season that KillEagle scored 15 or more points. Junior Stiffarm was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Nashua's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Dodson, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Nashua and Dodson were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but Nashua came up empty-handed after a 61-60 defeat.
