There's no place like home for The Foothill Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They took down Enterprise 35-18 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Foothill, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Hunter Marchione, who rushed for 53 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 165 yards and a touchdown. Marchione was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards. Dawson Mortimer was another key contributor, rushing for 67 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Despite the loss, Enterprise still got an impressive performance from JJ Johnson, who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 150 yards and a touchdown.
Foothill's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.3 points per game. As for Enterprise, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Foothill will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Enterprise, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chico presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Enterprise in California (Chico is ranked 127th, while Enterprise is ranked 385th).
