The Christian Community Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 50-37 to White House-Heritage. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Christian Community came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while White House-Heritage is ranked 275th).
Despite the loss, Christian Community still got an impressive performance from Olivia Brentlinger, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Alexis Myers was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Christian Community's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for White House-Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Community will take on Clarksville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clarksville Christian is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. White House-Heritage will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harpeth at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
