Marion Center is 1-9 against United since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Marion Center Stingers will head out on the road to face off against the United Lions at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Marion Center has not done well against Cambria Heights recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Marion Center slipped by Cambria Heights 42-41. The victory was just what Marion Center needed coming off of a 73-50 loss in their prior matchup.
Marion Center's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kamden Rozier, who scored 13 points. The contest was Rozier's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Pack, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, United beat River Valley 62-49 on Wednesday.
The losses dropped Marion Center to 2-2 and Cambria Heights to 0-4.
Marion Center was dealt a bruising 75-26 defeat at the hands of United in their previous meeting back in January. Thankfully for Marion Center, Dylan Dishong (who scored 19 points along with 6 assists and 6 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
