Last Friday, Grand Traverse Academy ended up a good deal behind Cadillac Heritage Christian and lost 54-38. Grand Traverse Academy has not had much luck with Cadillac Heritage Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nate Dix , who scored seven points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Weston Kinney was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Grand Traverse Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 60-49 to Cedarville.
Grand Traverse Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for St. Mary, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-4 record last season and are now at 1-5.
Grand Traverse Academy was dealt a bruising 75-18 defeat at the hands of St. Mary when the teams last played back in March of 2021. Can Grand Traverse Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
