Clear Creek will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Sheridan at 7:00 PM. Clear Creek are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
If Clear Creek were riding high off their 48-22 takedown of Estes Park two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. It was close but no cigar for Clear Creek as they fell 28-30 to Platte Canyon last Saturday. Clear Creek's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Lucas Gerding, who picked up 101 yards on the ground and accumulated 120 passing yards. Gerding has been a consistent playmaker for Clear Creek as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.
Sheridan ended up forfeiting their matchup against Manual 0-2.
Having both suffered close losses, both of these teams will no doubt be fighting for every inch to win this one. We'll see if Sheridan are able to find more success (and make for a more exciting game than their last) when the teams meet up.
