The West Lincoln Rebels's road trip will continue as they head out to face the East Burke Cavaliers at 8:00 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully West Lincoln focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
Last Friday, West Lincoln was beaten by Newton-Conover 85-45. West Lincoln was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-22.
West Lincoln's loss came about despite a quality game from Mikalister Anderson, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gideon Allen, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, East Burke scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Bunker Hill 77-55. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
West Lincoln dropped their record down to 3-19 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for East Burke, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-16.
West Lincoln came up short against East Burke in their previous meeting back in January, falling 55-48. Can West Lincoln avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
