The Spring Creek Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Yerington 74-51. Given Spring Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Yerington is ranked 81st), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Yerington lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kp Picotte jr. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Thom, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Yerington struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Spring Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1. As for Yerington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
