Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Brennan Bears, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by the Cavaliers 34-7 on Friday. Brennan's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Nico Hamilton was a one-man wrecking crew for Lake Travis as he rushed for 221 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Hamilton is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaston Ditta, who threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns.
Brennan's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Lake Travis, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
Brennan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lake Travis will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Westlake at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Westlake is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
