The Grace Classical Christian Academy Gryphons will take on the Hill County Wolves at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
With a playoff game on the line, Grace Classical Christian Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 32-19.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grace Classical Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wyatt Keith, who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Bryce Jones also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, even though Winston scored an imposing 39 points on Friday, Hill County still came out on top. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Hill County made off with a 40-39 victory over Winston.
Hill County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tristan Knight, who rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. Knight was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Jonathan Fisk was another major influence, as he rushed for 129 yards and ran in a TD.
Grace Classical Christian Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Hill County, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Grace Classical Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Hill County when the teams last played back in October, but they still walked away with a 30-25 win.
