The Browne Bruins won the last time they faced the Vista Grande Spartans, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Browne enjoyed a cozy 64-49 victory over Vista Grande. The win made it back-to-back wins for Browne.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Browne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adam Chaffin, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Chaffin's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Desmyn Beavers-smith, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Despite the loss, Vista Grande still got an impressive performance from Wade Eshom, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Corbyn Downs was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Browne now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Vista Grande, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Browne will take on Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Browne likes a good challenge. As for Vista Grande, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Thunderbird at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Thunderbird's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
