The Eisenhower Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Eisenhower made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Iroquois, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Knights blew past the Braves 10-3 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Knights have posted against the Braves since May 6, 2019.

Caleb Jakubczak made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Jakubczak was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Jakubczak is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Wyatt Neall was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jarius Casey, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Mercyhurst Prep strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Youngsville get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Lakers this season.
Brady Rice looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, Mercyhurst Prep got a big performance out of Josh Majczyk, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Zack Kruszewski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Mercyhurst Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Mercyhurst Prep's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Eisenhower, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Eisenhower has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mercyhurst Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
