Rogers is 3-0 against the Broncos since January of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Rogers Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Burrillville Broncos at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Rhode Island (Rogers is ranked 13th, while the Broncos are ranked 17th).
Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Rogers had to settle for a 48-45 loss against the Panthers.
Meanwhile, Burrillville had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 64-54 win over Johnston on Monday. The win was just what Burrillville needed coming off of a 65-34 defeat in their prior contest.
Nolan Serafin was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 15 rebounds. Serafin is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Zanella, who scored 14 points.
Rogers' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5. As for Burrillville, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.
Rogers beat the Broncos 57-48 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Does Rogers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
