Basketball Game Preview: Vision vs. Victory Charter Vipers

Vision will square off against the Victory Charter Vipers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Victory Charter will be up against a hot Vision team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. Vision really took it to Riverstone International for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-24 victory. Vision has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 30 points or more this season.

Raelynn Nickel and Aubrie Parrish were among the main playmakers for Vision as the former posted 16 points in addition to eight steals and seven assists and the latter dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 boards. Nickel has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 30 times she's played. Lexi Anderson was another key player, putting up six points and five steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Vision was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Victory Charter got the win against Idaho City on Tuesday by a conclusive 41-17. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Vipers have posted against the Wildcats since November 15, 2018.

Victory Charter is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.2 points per game. As for Vision, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Vision barely slipped by Victory Charter in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, winning 25-24. Does Vision have another victory up their sleeve, or will Victory Charter turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
