Volleyball Recap: Southwest Extends Winning Streak to Three

Southwest entered their tilt with Oviedo on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Lions 3-0. The Eagles not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th.

While Southwest won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-15, 25-15.

Kevin Munoz paced Southwest's offense, picking up 11 kills. Munoz got some help from Juanmarco Diaz and his 13 assists. Diaz and Munoz didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with five apiece.

Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Oviedo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Southwest has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Cardinal Gibbons on the 4th. As for Oviedo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Creekside on the 3rd.
