With a playoff game on the line, the Newman Greenies rose to the challenge on Friday. They strolled past the Knights with points to spare, taking the game 31-15. That's another feather in the cap for Newman, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Newman can attribute much of their success to Jake Randle, who rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns.
Although Episcopal took the loss, they still got scores from Nathan Sanchez and Braeden George.
Newman's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Newman will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Baptist Academy will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
