Las Vegas (Nev.) snatched the lead for good when
Andrew Moreland ran for a touchdown in the third quarter, paving the way for victory over
Basic (Henderson, Nev.) 56-28.
The teams went into the locker room at halftime deadlocked at 14. The Wildcats took the lead indefinitely on a touchdown run by Moreland in the third quarter.
Trevor Swenson was one of the biggest factors in Las Vegas' victory, as the junior threw four touchdowns.
In a non-conference game next week Las Vegas (2-0) takes on Rancho Verde, and Basic (0-2) will go up against Canyon Springs also in a non-conference game.
