Volleyball Recap: Combs Extends Winning Streak to Three

Combs entered their tilt with Gilbert Classical Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Coyotes also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Quinmetris Cunningham paced Combs' offense, picking up eight kills. Cunningham got some help from Jayden Bainter and his 15 assists. Finally, Cunningham was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Combs now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coincidentally, Combs and Gilbert Classical Academy will both be playing Washington the next time they take the court. Gilbert Classical Academy will head out to face Washington at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while Combs will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
