The Abilene Christian Panthers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Tioga by a score of 64-51. The win was just what Abilene Christian needed coming off of a 77-51 loss in their prior game.
Leading Abilene Christian to victory were Carson Schwiethale and Bryinn Waggoner. Schwiethale scored 21 points along with 6 steals, while Waggoner dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Schwiethale has scored at least 25% of Abilene Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Sheets, who scored 6 points.
Abilene Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Tioga, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Abilene Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Eula at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. One thing working in Eula's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Tioga, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Saint Jo at 7:30 p.m.
