Glenpool extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 2-16. They came up short against the Edison Eagles, falling 22-4. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 12-4 to the Eagles when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Glenpool saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Surrett, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Surrett's first of the season. Another was Gabe Wesley, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Edison, they pushed their record up to 19-12 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.
On Edison's side, Henry O'Meilia was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. O'Meilia has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Beckett Greteman and Linken Frank did most of the damage at the plate: Greteman went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Frank got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Frank is becoming a predictor of Edison's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 11-12 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Boston Little, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenpool will face off against Shawnee at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Edison, they will challenge Booker T. Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.35 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
