Eagle Point is 2-8 against Crater since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Comets at 5:00 p.m. Eagle Point is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Eagle Point lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Yreka, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. The Eagles blew past the Miners 11-2 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Emalee Logan made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Eagle Point let Madisyn Dean and Kady Ledbetter run wild. Dean went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Ledbetter got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Those two doubles gave Dean a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reese Zirkle, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs.
Eagle Point always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .532. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Yreka only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Crater posted their closest victory since May 1, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Thurston, sneaking past 8-7.
Crater is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Eagle Point, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Eagle Point came out on top in a nail-biter against Crater in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
