On Wednesday, the Loch Raven Raiders's game was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Hereford 39-37. That's another feather in the cap for Loch Raven, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Loch Raven can attribute much of their success to Maya Gordon, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Destaney Harris, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.
Loch Raven's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Hereford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loch Raven will take on Pikesville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hereford will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sparrows Point at 4:00 p.m. on December 18th.
