Post Falls is 9-1 against Lakeland since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Hawks at 3:00 p.m. Post Falls will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Post Falls barely beat Moscow the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans blew past the Bears 13-3 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Trojans have posted against the Bears since March 22, 2022.
Rylan Morrison made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Post Falls got a massive performance out of Summer Dan, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave Dan a new career-high. McKenna Zimmerman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Post Falls hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lakeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lewiston.
Katie Nave was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Post Falls, their record now sits at 4-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Post Falls has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lakeland struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Post Falls suffered a grim 16-8 defeat to Lakeland in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
