It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Highland can now relate to. They fell just short of the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs by a score of 25-23 on Friday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Highland wouldn't let St. Vincent de Paul keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Taron Smith was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance. He also made nine total tackles, which is notable because Highland is undefeated when he posts at least four total tackles, but 4-5 otherwise. Another thorn in St. Vincent de Paul's side was Jayden Carrillo, who made 20 total tackles.

Leading St. Vincent de Paul to victory were Gabe Casanovas and Mason Caturegli. Casanovas rushed for 162 yards while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, while Caturegli gained 155 total yards and two touchdowns. Caturegli also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making six total tackles.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for St. Vincent de Paul, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

As of now, neither Highland nor St. Vincent de Paul have any future games scheduled.
