Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Doral Academy Red Rock turned things around against Cheyenne last Thursday. They blew past the Desert Shields 21-7. The Dragons not only won last Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31st (when they won 17-3).

Elijah McDuffie made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. McDuffie was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Doral Academy Red Rock got a massive performance out of Ryan Hollingsworth, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits Hollingsworth has posted since back in February. Jerimayah Maefau was another key player, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Doral Academy Red Rock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .596. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Pinecrest Academy Cadence fell victim to Durango and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 24-0 to the Trailblazers.
Doral Academy Red Rock's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-10-1. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
