The Horizon Hawks are ranked highly in their home state, and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Liverpool Warriors. Horizon snuck past Liverpool with a 56-52 victory. The win was familiar territory for Horizon who now have six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Horizon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Natalie Thornton, who scored 20 points. Thornton also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Morgan Ives, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Horizon's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Liverpool, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
