Seminole is 2-8 against Osceola since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Warhawks will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Seminole is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Seminole is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Booker.

Noah Ritchie and Austin Duffy were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Ritchie struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Duffy struck out seven batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Ritchie has posted since back in February. At the plate, Ritchie scored a run while going 1-for-4, while Duffy went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other pitching news, Carter Dougherty looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
Back at the plate, Patrick Mazzei was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Shane Stalbird, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Osceola made easy work of Bayshore on Tuesday and carried off a 12-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Jackson Berglund looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Easton Stegbauer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. He also put up a run, which was his first of the season. Richard Stegbauer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Osceola's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Seminole, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.
Seminole couldn't quite get it done against Osceola in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 5-1. Can the Warhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
