The Danville Warriors had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against Triton Central by a score of 46-33. That's another feather in the cap for Danville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Danville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Ancelet out in front who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Ava Walls was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Triton Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hailey Harris, who scored five points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Maryrose Felling, who scored 14 points.
Danville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Triton Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Danville won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Western Boone at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully Western Boone focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Tuesday. As for Triton Central, they will head out on the road to take on Beech Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beech Grove is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
