Basketball Recap: Georgia Force Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Georgia Force Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down the HALO Wolfpack 90-74. The Blue Knights pushed the score to 71-46 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolfpack cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Georgia Force Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Edwards, who posted 35 points and four steals. Those 35 points gave Edwards a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter McCarn, who went 7 for 11 en route to 21 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.

Georgia Force Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as HALO only racked up ten assists.

When it comes to explaining why HALO lost, don't look at Trenton Grissom. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten boards. The match was Grissom's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kenneth Haynes, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Georgia Force Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.8 points per game. As for HALO, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Georgia Force Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 86-76 win against St. John Bosco Academy on the 20th. As for HALO, they will head out to take on Killian Hill Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. HALO has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
