The Idaho City Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They fell to Wilder 37-33. Idaho City was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wilder apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Idaho City saw an underclassman step up: Hadley Higgins scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Higgins has scored all season. Makayla Barber was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Idaho City dropped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wilder, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Idaho City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wilder also has no future games currently scheduled.
