Bishop Rosecrans can attribute much of their success to Emily Jenkins, who scored 13 points. Jenkins continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Bernett, who scored seven points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Liberty Christian Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Bishop Rosecrans' win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Bishop Rosecrans will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Madison Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 4th. Madison Christian's defense has only allowed 24.5 points per game this season, so Bishop Rosecrans' offense will have their work cut out for Bishop Rosecrans. Liberty Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tree of Life Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Tree of Life Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
