Fyffe has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Gaston Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gaston took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Fyffe, who comes in off a win.
Fyffe scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 69-38 win over Collinsville at home. The result was nothing new for Fyffe, who have now won five matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Gaston was beaten by Sand Rock 62-18 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Gaston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 381st, while Sand Rock is ranked 69th).
Fyffe is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Gaston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
Fyffe strolled past Gaston in their previous meeting back in February of 2015 by a score of 49-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fyffe since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
