Makray Goad and Mav Goad stepped up to the plate in a big way. Makray went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs, while Mav went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Grayson County is 8-1 when Mav posts two or more runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Grayson County's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for George Wythe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Grayson County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .471. However, it's not like George Wythe struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Grayson County's way against George Wythe in their previous matchup back in April, as Grayson County made off with a 15-4 win.
