Lake Norman is a perfect 10-0 against Cox Mill since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lake Norman Wildcats will host the Cox Mill Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Lake Norman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Cox Mill likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Lake Norman earned a 68-56 victory over Hickory Ridge. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Ragin' Bulls are ranked 65th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lake Norman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rayana Minard, who to rack up 24 points. Minard continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Shehan, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards.
Lake Norman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Cox Mill played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 77-40 loss at the hands of Hickory Ridge. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-14.
Lake Norman will have to contain Lauren Farrell as she made an impact in Cox Mill's last game. She dropped a double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Farrell has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 18 times she's played.
Lake Norman's win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 47.2 points. As for Cox Mill, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lake Norman has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Cox Mill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Lake Norman against Cox Mill when the teams last played on February 7th, as the team secured a 93-27 victory. In that contest, Lake Norman amassed a halftime lead of 64-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
