The Blackstone-Millville Chargers lost against the Hopedale Blue Raiders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Blackstone-Millville lost to the Blue Raiders on the road by a decisive 46-28 margin. Blackstone-Millville was down 40-16 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the defeat, Blackstone-Millville saw an underclassman step up: Marren Berry scored 14 points. Grace Buzzell was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Blackstone-Millville's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Hopedale, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Blackstone-Millville will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Douglas is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Hopedale, they will head out on the road to square off against the Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
