Evangel Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Clay Stanton led the charge by scoring 11 points. Solomon Schneider was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Evangel Christian pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Southern Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Evangel Christian will head out on the road to face off against Valiant Cross Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Valiant Cross Academy is ranked 86th, while Evangel Christian is ranked 69th). Southern Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Central HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
