Beekman Charter's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Bastrop Rams 7-6. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.

Kyla Battle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 14 Ks.

At the plate, Beekman Charter let Abbigale Brown and Ambree McLarrin run wild. Brown went 3-for-4 with two triples, one run, and one double, while McLarrin went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two triples gave Brown a new career-high. Jaisey Davis was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Beekman Charter hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bastrop struck out 13 times.

Beekman Charter's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Bastrop, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beekman Charter will face off against Mangham at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bastrop, they will challenge Simsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
