The First Coast Buccaneers will head out to take on the Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
First Coast is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Stanton on Monday. First Coast never let Stanton get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Lynneisa Whittington made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Whittington was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

In other batting news, Kyrie Camarce was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-1. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Makiyah Lester, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
First Coast always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .731. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Paxon School For Advanced Studies entered their tilt with Yulee on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Eagles have posted against the Hornets since April 25, 2019.
Paxon School For Advanced Studies' victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average this season. As for First Coast, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-6.
First Coast suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Paxon School For Advanced Studies in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can First Coast avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
