Colten Burch was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Rangeview's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 3-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Luevanos, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Denver East gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Poudre by a score of 7-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Angels.
Colton Osmulski tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Finn Wrona was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Evan L'Herault was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one RBI.
Rangeview's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Denver East, their record is now 9-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rangeview has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Denver East struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Rangeview suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Denver East in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
